dial1 (Del ingl. dial).
1. m. Superficie graduada, de forma variable, sobre la cual se mueve un indicador, ya sea una aguja, un punto luminoso, etc., que mide o señala una determinada magnitud, como peso, voltaje, longitud de onda, velocidad, etc.
2. En teléfonos y receptores de radio, placa con letras o números sobre los que se mueve un indicador, ya sea un disco, una aguja, un punto luminoso, etc., con el que se selecciona la conexión deseada.
3. Conjunto de las emisoras de radio que se captan en un determinado territorio.
